6th Place!

Best Nats finish for an open b-team from Ottawa, evah. Key moments: heartbreak loss to Grand Trunk on universe point on Day 1, wins against Too Bad (cross-over) and Q (to move to 6th). Oh yeah, and winning the party. The bird is flying high!

Off to Nats

FU3 is making its last trip of the Summer to attend the Canadian Ultimate Championships in Halifax, NS. You can follow the Bird's progress here.

Ain't No Mountain High Enough

...to keep the 'Bird from free beer. Even if it means a 10-hour drive to Motor City this week-end for the Motown Throwdown.

Week-end schedule is here (pdf).

No Borders Here

The 'Bird is travelling all the way to Manotick Station to play in No Borders this week-end, hoping to better our 6th place finish last year. Games start at 9AM on Saturday.

Seedings are posted here.

More than a feeling

The 'bird is travelling to Boston this week-end. Easterns Open Division schedule is here.

And what would a Firebird tournament be without a little of this in the forecast?
Boston weather

On to Cazenovia

The team is travelling to Syracuse this week-end for the Cazenovia Ultimate Tournament (preliminary schedule). This tourny was a blast last year and the team will no doubt take time off from its busy schedule again for sidetrips to Manlius, NY and the Dinosaur BBQ.

White Mountain Open

The 'bird represented Ottawa in the White Mountain Open tournament in Hanover, NH on May 13-14. Playing in torrential rain (flood warning in effect) the team came out with a 1-4 record, holding seed. Key win on Saturday was against Les Q -- a team that frustrated us all last year. Next up is CUT (Syracuse) on June 3-4.

Firebird 2006

Check out Firebird's 2006 roster. Congratulations to those of you who made the team and thank you to everyone who worked hard in the offseason and during the tryouts. Coach Dave Brook will continue to be running the show for another exciting year - see you out on the field!
